The Broomfield Genealogical Society is a 501 (c)(3) organization (Federal Tax ID 84-1547025). Hence, all or part of your gift may be tax-deductible as a charitable contribution. Please check with your tax advisor.
Contributing is a great way to support society. Your donation of time or money enables us to continue our mission of promoting an interest in genealogy and family history by providing education, mentoring, and quality programs that benefit our members and the community.
Books
BGS welcomes book donations. Your contribution will either be added to our permanent collection or if we already have a copy we will sell the book and add the profit to our General Fund. To donate one or more books please drop them off at the library or call or email the library committee to arrange a pick up. You can reach the library committee at: Library@californiaancestors.org
Time – Volunteer
BGS is an all-volunteer organization. We welcome new volunteers and have a diverse number of jobs that need doing. Some are one-persons tasks while others involve committee work. Please check the Members/Volunteer Opportunities for more information or contact: Volunteer@BroomfieldGenSoc.org
Name BGS in your will, trust or 401k
Do you have a trust, 401k, life insurance policy, retirement plan or other investment instrument? If so, please consider naming BGS as a beneficiary. Setting this up is very simple and can be handled through your investment company. You will need to provide the BGS tax identification number (Tax ID 84-1547025), our address, official name (Broomfield Genealogy Society Inc.). If you are considering naming BGS as a beneficiary contact our Treasurer at: Treasurer@BroomfieldGenSoc.org.
Everyone who supports BGS in this way becomes a member of our Legacy Society, so please let us know if you have already named BGS as a beneficiary. There are no dues or fees associated with being a Legacy Society Member. Legacy Society members are recognized as donors (with your permission) and receive special invitations.
